In 2001 a Meditative Garden was created in memory of Doug Livingstone as an oasis for the community. The parish continued its spiritual growth and changed the thrust of its outreach through the Rural Wellbeing team. This team worked to support Individuals in need of food, meals and those experiencing homelessness .
The deep sense of faith and abiding love of God is our shared heritage with those twelve people who gathered together in 1954 to lay the foundations of the parish.
In a world that is growing increasingly aware of its need for stability and depth, the St. George Meditation Group provides an opportunity for people from the wider community to gather in a neutral location; beginners and experienced meditators alike. All are welcome to join in this unique form of prayer which is so beneficial for spiritual growth and maturity.
Christian Meditation is a simple way of being that satisfies our spiritual hunger by enabling us to experience the Spirit of Christ within us and to be nourished and guided by that experience.
